Mannequin from Nathan Sok on Vimeo.

Check out this cool video we just made. Co-founder Quy uses his talent to turn a typical boring mannequin into something creative and unique. Also introducing our latest highly anticipated zip up hoody “Kisses & Pistons” in black (also available in heather grey). This sweater is representing Forever Ashbury at every angle. Stay tuned for special news on a release date. Enjoy.

Shout out to Nathan Sok at Twenty-Four Karat Pictures for shooting the awesome vid.

There’s a Light that Shines.

And that light is the L.A.M.P program. It is a unique mentoring program for teens looking to develop their skills in music production, video production, photography, graphic design, silk screening. They offer state of the art equipment and training for teenagers who come from low income families at no cost. Over the weekend, we had the  pleasure to lend out our store for their open mic night. The evening was a complete success, with good music, big smiles, and tacos with horchata to fill our tummys.

If you would like to get more info about this program, visit www.LBcap.org or call (562) 216-4600.

Hot Off The Press!

The Long Beach Business Journal did a great write up on us. Check it out HERE.

Forever Ashbury Opens On Broadway

January 31, 2012 – On December 19, Forever Ashbury opened between Cherry and Hermosa Avenues at 1828 E. Broadway. Owned by Johnny Phan and Jaiden Quy Do, pictured, from left, the store stocks an assortment skateboards, hats, accessories and men and women’s clothing. Phan and Do, who “view fashion as an art form . . . [that] can be used to express personality and individuality” according the store’s Web site, embellish Forever Ashbury’s products with variations of the company’s logo, from the cursive “Ashbury” emblem to the unique “Dripping Kiss” design. In addition to clothing and accessories, the store also retails a variety of skateboard equipment such as wheels, trucks and more. Forever Ashbury is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and is closed on Monday. For more information, visit www.foreverashbury.com or call 562/432-8300. Out Of The Garage.

Check out this great article on us at www.gazettes.com

Out Of The Garage

Bringing new life to the space at 1828 E. Broadway, entrepreneurs Johnny Phan and Jaiden Do opened the doors of Forever Ashbury last month between Cherry and Hermosa avenues.

Forever Ashbury, a Long Beach-based clothing, skateboard and accessory brand that started in the business owners’ garage, has a storefront for the first time since it was created five years ago.

“We have built a really beautiful store from the ground up,” Phan said. “We have completely remodeled this store, building everything ourselves. Business so far has been amazing – we are building a strong core following with the local skateboarders and people who are interested in this type of fashion.”
Forever Ashbury’s trademark color is purple, and the company’s distinct logo can be found adorning T-shirts, sweaters, hats, shoes, skateboards and other products.

“We are definitely not a typical skate shop or a typical boutique,” Phan said. “We put our own style and creativity into this.”

For details about Forever Ashbury, which has a detailed website and regularly update blog written by the store’s owners, visit www.foreverashbury.com or call (562) 432-8300. The store is open daily.

Thank You Ashleigh Oldland and the Gazette!

A Night That Will Live Forever. (Video)

Saturday, December 17th marks the day of priceless memories for us. This was the day of our ‘Private Grand Opening Party’. All of our blood, sweat, tears, heart & soul went into making our store a reality. We finally got a chance to unveil it to our friends & family. The night was a complete success filled with smiles, laughter & just all around good vibes. We want to thank our family & friends from the bottom of our heart for the love and continued support. We really couldn’t do it without you.

A special shout out goes to our friends over at Marquez de Valencia for blessing us with their premium tequila all night long. We would also like to thank Matt Simmerman from Dubtree for the amazing pictures once again, you’re awesome man!

Finally we have Nate Sok of 24 Karat Pictures for filming this memorable occasion. Thank you for all your hard work Nat. The video is amazing.

If Forever Ashbury was paid with love, we would be the richest guys in the world. Enjoy the video. (Part 1 of 2)
