If you’ve been following our blog, you know that we have been dipping into cut & sew pieces. These are hot off the sewing machine and now onto your computer screen. Here at Forever Ashbury., we wish we had someone that showed us behind the scenes looks at how things are produced. We’re as grassroots as it gets and we know how it is to start up, so that is why we love sharing to you how we do things. Here is the finished product and premiere of our first cut & sew piece available to the public!

Named the “Bentley Board Shorts” after our favorite model, Mister Bentley Butterball The Basset Hound.

Now you’re probably wondering why we would name our first cut & sew piece after an over weight dog. Well, first off, he’s our favorite dog in the whole world. Second, he’s of French decent because Basset Hounds are originally from France. And third, you probably are wondering why being french matters & hopefully the pictures below helps out.

Pictured above is the bottom hem of our shorts, do they look familiar? They’re FRENCH CUFFS on the bottom of shorts and board shorts at that! French cuffs are often seen on dress shirts, and we at Forever Ashbury. wanted to mash it up a little bit and add our own flair! And this is why they are named after our french mascot!

We wish you could see the detail of the stitching and feel the texture of the fabric. But until technology advances or Apple creates a new iPad app for texture, you will have to buy it and see for yourself in person.

Since it seems as though the only things we seem to go to now and days are weddings, bachelor parties & baby showers…producing baby clothes seems about right. Here at Forever Ashbury., we keep things grassroots and classy. So classic that we still print most of our shirts by hand versus fully automatic presses. By printing shirts by hand, each shirt is meticulously combed through before it lands into your wardrobe and most importantly, it adds a personal touch. Meet our buddy Henry, he has been printing our shirts as soon as we decided to personally stop printing them ourselves in J. Quy’s garage. He is one of the hardest working people we know and we are happy to show you how much heart and times goes into making one of our shirts. We just added a new car to the collection. We love vintage and classy things here at Forever Ashbury. Things that never go old. Here she is, Jaiden Quy’s 1973 Datsun 240z. She’s a lovely beast and we’ve torn her all apart to rebuild it from the ground up. Take a peek at our new project. We still need to name her also, so give us suggestions.

Here at Forever Ashbury., we don’t discriminate against race, age, or size. Below is our mascot Mr. Bentley Butterball the Basset Hound. He’s confident with his weight but had to be the most stubborn client we’ve ever had to photograph because he has his own agenda of sniffing grass, dirt, and laying around.

We have love for our four-legged friends and here he is modeling our new line of pet clothes. We are going to offer these shirts in the classic Box Logo on heather gray and range from sizes from extra small to extra large. Our 55 pound friend is lounging in an extra large. They are available now, only on our online store in very very limited numbers, so they are guaranteed to sell out quick.

The new cut & sew pieces are still in the works and here are some more clues and details of our new piece. Shown below are the patterns. There are a lot things that need to get adjusted, but that’s what sample runs are all about. We’re sticklers for paying attention to detail, so nothing gets released until we’re truly happy with the finished product. Stay tuned for more leaks.
